Hawk Circle

  • Project: Hawk Circle, LLC

  • Date: 2003-05

From 2003 to 2005, I conducted land planning for a conservation subdivision on 31.5 forested acres along the East Brandywine Creek in Chester County, PA, obtaining all final planning approvals from local, state and federal agencies for nine new environmentally integrated homes, served by a low impact infrastructure. Working closely with civil engineers, soil scientists, foresters, neighbors and government officials, I designed the site plan, schematic layouts for individual homes, performed onsite water and soil erosion testing and wrote an approved sewer module that included less intrusive methods such as drip irrigation and a low pressure system. This project appears further in several research articles, including Alphabet City’s WATER, “Veils and Velocities,” and “Upstream/Downstream.”
